Kota Kinabalu Trip, Sabah, Malaysia (亚庇旅游，沙巴，马来西亚）- Day 1 (第一天）

Our Kota Kinabalu (KK) trip from 12/9/13 to 16/9/13.

Due to flights booked almost one year ahead, only 2 out of 6 of us were managed to arrange time for the trip.

We never plan any itineraries but mean for a free and relax trip.

Although our trip from 12/9 to 16/9, but late arrival on the first day and early departure on the last day make us left only 3 full days in KK.

We spend the first day in Filipino Market, KK China Town, Atkinson Clock Tower and Look Out Point.

Sabah is near to Philippine geographically, therefore many Filipinos are migrating illegally to Sabah, some even with Malaysia citizenship with years and generations in Malaysia. Filipino Market is an unique scene in KK in years back but no more in today. It is only few coconuts stalls opened. We ended up visited the handicraft market and local fruits market which is just next to it. I always like to visit the local market to understand their local people's life styles....You can get all sorts of local made crackers, local handicrafts, fresh seafood and grill seafood (in night stalls) here....

因为一年前预定的机票，其他家庭成员都因为迁就不到时间，结果只有我们两人来到亚庇。
虽说行程是从12/9到16/9， 但其实只有3天完整的时间让我们逛亚庇。第一天，我们逛了菲律宾市集和颠倒屋。因为沙巴和菲律宾的地理位置很靠近，历年来很多菲律宾的非法移民迁至沙巴的各个地区，亚庇就是其中之一。现在的菲律宾市集已不如从前般辉煌，如今只见寥寥无几的卖椰水摊位。我们顺道参观了在它附近的本地水果市集和手工艺品市集。我一直都喜欢参观当地的市集，以便更了解他们当地人的生活习惯。在这，你可以看到琳琅满目的当地零食，手工艺品， 海味，新鲜海鲜，烧烤海鲜（晚上的夜市）等等等。。。

Atkinson Clock Tower was built 1903, built with all wood, no nail structure. Landmark for KK.
It is the oldest standing building in Sabah.

Atkinson钟楼，建于1903，全建筑用木，没钉。它是亚庇的地标，也是全沙巴唯一最古老的站式建筑物。

Atkinson Clock Tower 

Signal Hill, Obeservatory Platform 瞭望台
Further up from Atkinson Clock Tower, is the signal hill, observatory platform, it is the highest point of KK city, with breezing and wide angle scenery of KK city. It should be a nice place to relax with a cup of tea / coffee, but the only cafe was closed and the platform looks a bit of run down & lack of maintenance.

从钟楼往上走，就可到达全亚庇市的最高点-瞭望台。 那儿凉风习习，还有一望无敌的亚庇市全景图。这可是个看风景，喝咖啡的好地方，可惜建筑有点破旧，缺少保养。

We had our dinner at Old Farm City Park Seafood Restaurant, I was first saw the name of the restaurant in airline magazine during our flight to KK and it was recommended by the taxi driver who drove us from KK airport to our hotel on the 1st day. It is just located on the other end of the china town and the steam crabs with egg white that we ordered is really delicious.

最后，我们又回到唐人街， 这次就是找吃咯！我们的晚餐就在田老爷城市海鲜餐厅，我第一次知道这家餐厅是在飞机杂志的广告上，就在我们第一天乘坐飞机来亚庇的途中。再来，就是载我们从机场到旅馆的德士司机推荐说他们本地人都会到那儿吃，新鲜，价格又不会贵。
我们要的蛋白清蒸螃蟹真的好鲜，好甜！
